AUTUMN

Down! Down!

Down, down!

Yellow and brown

The leaves are falling

Over the town.

September is a time

Of beginning for all,

Beginning of school

Beginning of fall.

The sunflower children

Nod to the sun.

Summer is over,

Fall has begun!

The leaves are falling

One by one.

Summer’s over

School’s begun.

Off to school

We go together

In September’s

Sunny weather.

“Come, little leaves,” said the wind one day,

“Come o’er the meadows with me and play:

Put on your dresses of red and gold –

For summer is gone and the days grow cold.

Este poema se enseñaría a niños de 4-5 años.
 La metodología que utilizaría  seria introducir vocabulario de las estaciones 
para que fueran viendo en que consiste. A raíz que fuéramos recitando
 el poema iríamos repitiendo el vocabulario.

BACK TO SCHOOL

In the last week of the holidays

I was feeling glum.

I could hardly wait for school to start;

Neither could mum.

Now we’ve been back a week,

I could do with a breather.

I can hardly wait for the holidays;

Teacher can’t either.

Este poema estaría dirigido a niños de 2-3 años. La metodología utilizada seria 

hacer las acciones del poema para que fueran asociando el volver  a la 
escuela con el vocabulario en ingles

MY DEAR MOTHER

Sometimes I wish that I were back at home,

In the loving arms that held me strong.

To reassure my safety, my peace, my soul;

To let me know that everything was okay, that you were in control.

But reality has set in, my course is now set;

Guided by your love, making no move that I would regret.

You hath raised me, raised a man, a man of values indeed.

Your instructions on life I live by and have learned to take heed.

Obedience is therefore greater than any sacrifice I can make,

And I'd rather die horrifically, than your heart at any time I break.

Love you, yes indeed, far greater than any other.

A lady of profound beauty and wisdom, but above all MY MOTHER.

 

Este poema iría dirigido a niños de 5-6 años. La metodología utilizada 

seria hablar de sus madres, de cómo son, que les gusta de ellas y 

aprender el vocabulario del poema y que ellos mismos asocien que no 

todas las madres son iguales.
